Estimates
Measuring a property from the map instead of driving to it
Driving out to measure a property is the most expensive free thing a estimating company does.
An hour of driving and measuring for a quote that may not close, several times a week, is a working day a month gone — usually a day you would rather have spent on paid estimates.
Satellite measurement removes most of it. Trace the area, get the square foot figure, apply your pricing, send it. For the majority of residential work it is accurate enough to quote confidently.
Keep the site visit for the jobs that deserve one: awkward access, big commercial properties, anything where being wrong is costly.
Done consistently this changes your close rate as much as your calendar, because quotes go out while the customer is still deciding rather than a week later.
