Lawn Care

Handling late lawn care accounts without the awkward phone call

Every lawn care company has them: a handful of accounts that always pay late and a couple that may not pay at all.

They cost more than the money. They occupy your attention, they make you dread the phone, and they quietly train you to accept it.

A process beats a personality here. A reminder the day it is due, another at a week, a firmer one at fourteen days, and a decision at thirty. Written down, applied the same to everyone.

The decision at thirty is the one owners avoid: keep servicing or stop. Servicing a non-payer through a whole season is a choice, not bad luck.

It is also much easier when the chasing is not you. A third party asking for money keeps the relationship intact between you and a customer you will see again.
