Importing scheduling customers out of Real Green

Real Green will give you your data. Getting it out is not the hard part — landing it somewhere useful is.

The exports arrive as spreadsheets with their own column names and their own idea of what a customer is. Addresses in one file, properties in another, service history somewhere else again.

The details that decide whether it works are unglamorous: matching properties to the right customer, keeping square footage, and not creating duplicates when the same address appears twice.

Run a test batch first — ten customers, checked line by line against Real Green — before importing thousands. And keep an undo path for the run itself.

Done that way, a scheduling company can move without losing a single property record. It is the single biggest thing standing between most owners and a better setup.
